Apologies, a little late in reporting this (and not just the reference to the 1982 ABC Classic).
Back in June a few Burton Joyce Smurfs participated in the 67th Sheriff of Nottingham Golden Arrow Tournament and Adeel won not only the Golden Arrow award, but the Mackness Quiver.
- The Golden Arrow is awarded to the archer (of either sex) recording the highest score;
- The Mackness Quiver for the highest score recorded by a Nottinghamshire gentleman
Many congratulations to Adeel (not sure why Ellie, Shai and Mario photo bombed your picture!)
The weather was a little grim, being wet throughout the afternoon, ranging from heavy showers to light drizzle.
The following Sunday brought better weather for the second County League shoot where we did rather well, but no results as yet.
If we continue in this vein we are in with a shout of winning the league this year
