[dropcap]R[/dropcap]egrettably, the Chris Peacock Memorial Shoot scheduled for April 27th has had to be cancelled. Although a number of members have expressed an interest in competing, only one person ahs entered their name on the entry sheet.
The next opportunity to reschedule the competition is May 11th, but we need to ensure members are interested in taking part.
It was Chris Peacock’s aim to get people to challenge themselves and shoot longer distances, so we shot a St George every year he was at the club. As this is a memorial shoot the decision was to stick to these principles. A St George is a total of nine dozen arrows shot at 100, 80 and 60 yards, with three dozen at each distance. Having said that, you don’t have to shoot these distances, you could shoot 80, 60, 50 or 60, 50 40 etc.
If anyone is interested in shoot nine dozen arrows, please register your interest at the hut. Please remember to put down what distances you would prefer to shoot and we can then reorganise the competition.
